How many hours do professional dancers, dance?

I know some professionals teach dance, but I also know that they take dance classes, etc. So, I'm just curious on how many hours they teach or take of dance.

The hours you work can vary greatly based on what you choose to do in this field. This profession provides a wide spectrum of potential working hours. If you desire to keep yourself occupied, it could nearly turn into a full-time job. However, most professional dancers have specific periods when they are swamped with work and other times when they are free. The same applies to teaching and attending classes - the schedule is entirely based on what you plan for yourself.

Dance is all about being consistent. So you need to spend time in working in your craft and art. Take time for conditioning your body. Pilates, Yoga Fitness etc it will help you in your full body knowledge. Train in more than one dance technique. Example im a contemporary and jazz dancer, but ballet help me out allot in leveling up my technique and in auditions. And back to the question how many hours. Full time dance companies work 8h to 6h a day Monday to Friday. and then some teach after or before or create as well. So it all depends in your ambitions. We all have different goals and all is valid. Taking time to be social is healthy as well as family time. Hope this helps. Always open to share more!
