joshua’s Answer

First thing is you will need tools. I would find a tradesman to try finding some side jobs they do and help them. YouTube as much of the trade as you can.

joshua recommends the following next steps:

Learn tools and parts in the trades you plan on working.
Get tools you will need
Volunteer to work with tradesmen.

Dan’s Answer

Since you did not say what trade your looking at I will have to be very generic in my response. Talk to people in that trade and ask how they got started. Check with state licensing depts. (DOPL) to see if a license is required for that trade . If so check for local trade schools that teach those courses. After graduation many trade schools offer those tools needed free or greatly discounted prices to help you get started. Most of all the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask! Best wishes!

Hagen’s Answer

Most people get a construction site job which usually involves cleaning up. It’s not very glamorous but you have to learn to and demonstrate your willingness and ability to work hard.

Hagen recommends the following next steps:

Buy some tools and learn how to use them- YouTube is great and limitless
If any family members do carpentry or woodworking ask them to show you how they do projects
If you can do some repairs around the house

eva’s Answer

Volunteer first if there is any opportunity as learning about a trade will also give you the chance to understand it well before you enter that industry. Once you know, learn/ obtain whatever that trade may need. Aquire the most essential skill sets first and keep moving forward.
