What does it take to find your passion?

I have been struggling with finding something that really speaks to me. The things I thought I wanted to do are more difficult than I was anticipating.

Now, let's talk about passion. What does this term mean to you? Simply put, passion is the excitement you feel for what you do. If you find yourself eager to do it, if your interest in the topic intensifies as you learn more, then hold on to that passion and keep pushing forward! The rewards at the end will be worth every effort. As an old saying goes, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." - Unknown. These words couldn't be more accurate.

Remember, it's okay if you haven't figured everything out by the time you finish high school or college. Don't let societal pressures push you into a career that you can't see yourself doing until retirement. There's plenty of time between now and then. It took me several career shifts and starting from scratch in an emerging industry to truly find where I belong. There's a vast difference between just going to work and getting to work on what you're passionate about every day. Trust your intuition, and it will guide you to your true calling.

Finding passion is not an easy task because passion changes as time passes by. If you want to find a passion that suits your needs try to specialize in an area that is broad for example: accounting is a broad field you can specialize in cost accounting, financial accounting and related areas like financial reporting, stock administrator etc. In a nutshell, it depends on your strengths and weaknesses. Please keep in mind that you should choose a passion that will provide you a positive income in terms of extrinsic and intrinsic values.

Hi Sophia! This is a great question. A lot of reflection is required to find your passion, and it is not always easy to find your passion. Some people know what their passion is early on, while it may take others years to find their passion. On the other hand, there are also people (like me), who have many passions and those passions often change.

It's important to ask yourself daily or weekly questions such as the following:
- What makes me the happiest right now?
- What do I do well?
- How can I be better?
- Where do I want to be in {insert number} months, years, etc.?

In addition, if you know someone who has a similar passion(s) as yours, have a conversation with them! I've learned a lot by reaching out to people who are already doing things that I want to be doing.

There is always this innate need and desire for someone to find a path in life that truly speaks to them and in most cases it can be pretty challenging to narrow down on what we actually want to do.

Mind you, this is not only focused on certain career paths but also relationships, decisions we desire to make in life and even finding a sense of purpose.

Give yourself the flexibility to choose something that actually speaks to your heart and this means you may need to try a variety of different options before finding the right path in life.

So don't best yourself up just because you are not where you actually want to be but keep reinventing yourself and learn, unlearn and relearn daily.

So don't be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone and embrace the discomfort at all times.

You are already there you just need to take risks to make your life a whole lot different.

Sometimes in life you might not find your passion at a very early stage .As you keep exploring and working and become more confident and stable passion does follow.I suggest start your career or job which is available to you coming your way instead of chasing for something thats hard to find cause that can become more frasutarting .You will find your passion soon and it will follow if you work hard and with dedication.

I always thought that hospitality industry was my passion from a very young age but things changed and I moved to the world of Human resoruces which was new ,hard and difficult but eventually I started enjoying it and realised my passion is working with people which I am fortunate enough to do today !!

Key to finding your passion is inner peace and stability in what you have in hand !
