Where might one go to find a job in cosmology/astrophysics?
Do you just go find schools that have openings for classes on cosmology and astrophysics?

Classes on astrophysics and cosmology are typically offered at the graduate school level. Hence, one must first have an undergraduate degree in physics before attempting to enroll in these kinds of classes.
Then, jobs in astrophysics and cosmology are typically in basic research area. There are not too many job openings in such fields. Hence, they tend to be very competitive.
It is great that you have passion in astrophysics/cosmology. You should first plan on obtaining a bachelor’s degree in physics, and then look for a graduate school with an astrophysics/cosmology program.
Then, jobs in astrophysics and cosmology are typically in basic research area. There are not too many job openings in such fields. Hence, they tend to be very competitive.

I would be happy to advise you about how to go about preparing to go into a career in Astrophysics or Cosmology. Yes, you would have to go for a college degree in order to be prepared for the career. To begin with, the academic programs offered are in Astronomy and Astrophysics. There are two popular schools that offer this : University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and Concordia Collège at Moorhead in Minnesota. They both offer Bachelor degrees. The University of Minnesota Twin Cities offers the Masters Degree.
If you want to start working in the field before college, you may consider applying for a job at a planetarium. Even if it's not direct presentation, it seems like it would be a good experience for you and that they'd teach you as you went along. Sometimes high schools or colleges have a planetarium and some tourist attractions have them, too. It's just a suggestion.
Consider going into research in some capacity for a job, but you'll have to go where the jobs are. Employment websites such as Indeed and Linked In would be good for this. Register at both websites and create a detailed profile. You can select notifications for the types of jobs that you want to know about and they will come to you in your e-mail. After reading the job notices, you'll get an idea of what employers are requiring for this type of work and who knows, you may already qualify for something ! Do not hesitate to start out small and work your way up as you progress.
