Hello Sky,

Finding artist jobs can be challenging. Many artists I know have "day jobs" and take commission art projects on the side. However, challenging does not mean impossible. Some titles that may interest you:

1. Art teacher
2. Illustrator
3. Interior designer
4. Tattoo artist
5. Art Director
6. Gallery director

Even if you are not able to cultivate art as your full-time job, you can choose a job that surrounds you with it. However, it is never too early to try! Websites like Fiverr and Etsy are good for commissions!

James’s Answer

The short answer is "Yes" but don't let that discourage you. The artistic career is not for the faint of heart. Now "Is it possible to get a career in art?" is the question you should be asking, and the answer is yes. But now you must look at yourself and see if you have the character to pursue this path. You must also look at those who succeed and those who fail. Ask yourself "What did they have that allowed them to succeed?" and do the same.
