Hello Lyn, we appreciate your initiative in reaching out. We're confident you'll find the answers to your questions useful in your job hunt. Your query about communication during job applications is excellent. Indeed, communication is a crucial aspect of the job application process. Everyone is expected to put their best foot forward during the interview.

So, what does the interviewer look for during the interview? Here are some key points to consider:

1) Communication Skills: Your command of business English and conversational skills will be under scrutiny.

2) Timely Responses: Your ability to answer questions intelligently within a limited time frame is vital.

3) Problem-Solving Skills: You'll need to demonstrate your ability to solve problems during the interview. This could involve answering outcome-based questions as if you're already working in the field.

4) Confidence: The interview will gauge your self-confidence, how you present yourself, maintain eye contact, and your posture. It's important to sit up straight, yet remain relaxed and not overly nervous. A sense of humor can also be a plus.

5) Document Verification: The interview will also serve to verify and clarify the documents you've submitted. You should be well-acquainted with the contents of your documents, such as your resume.

6) Respect: Always maintain a respectful demeanor during the interview.

7) Honesty: Be true to yourself throughout the interview.

8) Research: Do your homework about the job and the company you're applying to.

9) Future Plans: Be ready to discuss your plans for the future.

In essence, prepare thoroughly for your interview. If, despite your best efforts, you're not accepted, take it in stride, learn from the experience, and move on. Perhaps it just wasn't the right fit. Best of luck, Lyn. Pursue your dreams!
