With an associate degree in accounting, you can qualify for a variety of entry-level positions to break into the field, such as Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, Payroll Clerk, Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk, or Billing Specialist.
If you choose to stop at an associate degree, that’s perfectly fine too. The more experience you gain in the field, the less employers focus on having a degree. Over time, your skills, performance, and accomplishments tend to matter more than formal education.

Hi Delaney! An Associates in Accounting can open many doors into the accounting world. I myself went to school for an associates in accounting first and I worked in a dealership in the accounting office as a title clerk and accounts receivable/payable clerk. I've also worked in a bank, I knew many tellers who started off with this same degree. You can also with some accounting firms gain an entry level position. There are many options for this. Also this path would allow you to see if this is something that you might want to pursue further, such as obtaining a bachelors. With the bachelors you can get a BA, BS, or BBA. You can also become a CPA. I hope this helps!
