About
I'm currently participating in classes to explore new career paths following a COVID layoff. In the past I have made hotel and activities arrangements online for clients, spent 5 years as HR and Payroll MGMT., helped my ex-husband start a hot shot business, worked in a school cafeteria, billing, and most recently in Quality Management in a call center for a major national corporation.
Amy’s Career Stories
In layperson terms, what do you actually do at work?
Quality Management analyst: my job requires me to observe call center agents. I listen to live calls as well as recorded calls. I grade those calls then I meet with the agent to coach them on how to do better.
How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?
I do not have a typical career path. Due to raising kids I took whatever job I could get everywhere we lived. Once hired though I did everything I could to learn and perfect all aspects of my job in an effort to advance. I never stayed in an entry level position for very long and set some high standards for those that came after me.
