About
Hello everyone! I have been a nurse for nearly 30 years. My clinical practice, teaching, service, and research has been directed toward decreasing disparities in underrepresented groups in nursing and healthcare. I received the Barry University College of Nursing and Health Sciences’ Doctoral Award, and the Association of Black Nursing Faculty's Innovation in Teaching Award. My previous practice includes community, psychiatric, substance abuse, forensic, information technology, administration, acute, subacute, long-term care, quality and risk management, and academia. My research interests consist of increasing the numbers of men and minorities in nursing, and improving health outcomes of culturally and ethnically diverse populations. I am a life-long learner! My education is as follows:
MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner, Florida Atlantic University, (current-graduate 05/2024)
PhD, Barry University (2019)
MSN, Nursing Education, Nova Southeastern University (2011)
BSN, Nova Southeastern University (2009)
AAS, Onondaga Community College (1995)
Certifications:

I am excited to share my nursing journey!
