Erna’s Answer

It really depends on what you wish to do and if you would enjoy that kind of study. Chemistry majors in most honors programs have a lot of coursework and have to manage there time very well in order to graduate. However, they are willing to put in the work and enjoy the subjects they are majoring in. A major in Chemistry is really useful because it can be utilized for many different jobs
It is completely normal to change majors if you start but then change your mind along the way, but make sure that if any of your scholarships are major specific you might need to talk to an academic advisor.

Dr. Kelly’s Answer

Hi Vishwak,

The question you need to ask yourself is, what do you want to do with the chemistry degree once you obtain it? Ensure that the course curriculum of the school you will attend has the courses you wish to learn or that your dream job will use.

I'm guessing "hon" is an abbreviation for honors level. Usually, for undergraduates, the honors program reduces the bill in exchange for the extra work students must complete.
