I’ve been down that road myself, a lot of survey sites are either scams or pay next to nothing. After testing quite a few, these are the only ones I’d actually recommend to your cousin:
EliteSurveySites. It’s not a survey site itself, they list high-paying legit survey panels. I made $2,000+ last month using sites they recommend. This is one of the best comparison site for survey panels.
BrandedSurveys. Started low $0.50–$5, but once I was active, I got $5 - $10 surveys. Made $740 last month.
FreeCash. The tasks vary, but surveys and offers from top providers actually paid out well. I earned $630 in one month just staying consistent.
Opinion Edge. This one's more recent for me, but I made $480 last month doing surveys and short opinion polls. Decent side income.
These are the best ones I’ve used. Might save him some time and frustration.

Hey Raymond, diving into the world of online surveys can feel like navigating a maze of promises and pitfalls. To help you (or your cousin) find the gems, here's a breakdown of some reputable platforms:
1. Swagbucks
Offers a variety of ways to earn, including surveys, watching videos, and shopping online. Users appreciate the multiple earning avenues, though some note that survey qualifications can be hit or miss.
2. Survey Junkie
Focuses primarily on surveys, providing a straightforward platform. Each point equals $0.01, with a minimum cash-out of $5. Some users find the qualification process for surveys challenging.
3. InboxDollars
Pays users for activities like reading emails, watching videos, and taking surveys. The platform offers various earning opportunities, but some users mention that accumulating earnings can be slow.
4. Google Opinion Rewards
Provides short surveys, typically lasting around 20 seconds, with each survey paying up to $1 in Google Play or PayPal credits. Users appreciate the quick and straightforward nature of the surveys, though the frequency can vary.
5. Pinecone Research
Known for higher payouts per survey, typically around $3. However, survey opportunities are less frequent, and the platform can be selective in its sign-ups.
Okay so for a little Tips for Success:
Profile Completion: Fully complete your profile on each platform to increase your chances of qualifying for surveys.
Consistency: Regularly check for new surveys, as availability can change rapidly.
Realistic Expectations: While these platforms can provide extra income, they're unlikely to replace a full-time job.
Remember, while these platforms are legitimate, your experience may vary. It's essential to approach them with realistic expectations and be cautious of any site that asks for payment upfront or seems too good to be true.
All the best pal!

I can personally confirm that LifePoints Panel will provide Paypal or Amazon gift card payment for completing surveys after accumulating so many "points". Longer surveys are worth higher points and vice versa. I recall them doing some type of initial survey to make your account so that the surveys available to be taken are based of your "candidate profile" built from your responses of the initial survey. Surveys may ask about lifestyle things such as food, media, music, news, products, groceries, consumption habits, likes/dislikes, etc. All surveys are for research purposes according to their website. They also now have a mobile app for iphone and android. I haven't used it though so I'm not sure how that may affect the overall experience.

Sydney’s Answer
Yes and no, there are sites who will pay money for surveys, but you would be making far, far less than minimum wage. An hour of work (even if it's mindless work) for a couple of dollars is not a very good use of time. I have tried using some of the websites other people have mentioned here (SwagBucks, Survey Junkie, Google Opinion) and they are not a way to make any actual money. Over the course of 8 years doing the Google opinion surveys, I've earned about $15. It's nice to have the extra cash when you can get it, but these kinds of services usually try and sell the idea that you can make an actual living from them - that is untrue. SwagBucks pays on average $2 an hour when doing surveys.
