Corey’s Answer

Any medical school is fine- Most residencies choose candidates on their performance and less on schools unless someone goes to a truly elite med school- Anesthesiology is not a highly competitive field though it is climbing the ranks recently.

Rachel’s Answer

Any 4 year university should be able to provide you with all of the premed requirements (1 year biology, 1 year inorganic chemistry, 1 year organic chemistry + labs, physics, calculus, and biochemistry). I would look at each school individually and see which fits your personality and desired major (does not have to be science) best.

Estelle’s Answer

Any college that will allow you to complete your premed required courses and a medical school with strong residency matches into anesthesiology will be good choices.

Richard’s Answer

Now that so many medical schools are doing away with rank, choose a school that has historically high STEP scores. When applying to residency, having high scores can set you apart from other applicants.

Once you have an idea of a few residency programs to which you will apply, you can do 4th year rotations at these programs as an "interview rotation" to let them see you in action.
