Congrats on starting nursing school in the fall. Oh my gosh there are some great you tube resources that I didn't have back when I was a student. There are some great videos that explain doing drug calculations and titrations. One thing to know is find a method to keep yourself organized you are going to be busy between classes and clinical and other course work that is required. Also if you have some fellow students study groups were super helpful for me to get clarity on topics that maybe didn't fully solidify during the lecture portion. One thing and I don't know if this was particular to my program or how things were done back when, I discovered that many of the exam questions were based on questions in NCLEX study books, so as you get into your med-surg, peds, ob, nursing courses it might be helpful to get an NCLEX study guide and look at some of the practice test questions and answers. That actually helped me a lot!

All the best such an exciting time!

Nursing school definitely require a lot of studying and time away from famly and friends but definitely need to balance it out. It would be a good idea to create a study group, seek additional help such tutoring services if the school offers it. Seek other resources on the subject you'll be studying such YouTube videos to help comprehend the material better you can purchase a nursing school packets(although it's not necessary) but can help. Understand nursing school is 50% studying and 50% comprehending (critical thinking). Certain nursing program mentioned it would be best for the nursing candidate not to work so he/she can focus more on their studies, however that's not always feasible for everyone. While in the nursing program definitely take time to practice self-care and not let it consume you.
Thank you comment icon that definitely makes sense. Thank you! ❤️ Lacy
