What are the cons of public universities?

Hi,
No such thing as better or worse than another, it's just a matter of the school that is best for the student. Sometimes public universities are very large and have ample funding, but not always. Private colleges are typically smaller and more expensive because their funding/resources are more limited. Public universities are not always located in the "nicest" areas and that can sometimes mean more crime activity but again, this doesn't mean that wouldn't apply to private schools.
I'd encourage you to write a list of pros and cons for your schools of interest based on funds, scholarships, the majors you have interest in, the location, living conditions and overall campus culture.
