It was awhile ago, but I believe that I passed because I used the following strategy:
1. Make sure to do some math/reading problems! I needed to brush up on some quick tricks, vocab, and concepts because I hadn't seen them in awhile. I believe that I used Barron's book.
2. I took a practice exam once and delineated between which problems I got wrong because I wasn't paying attention/got tricked vs truly had no idea. For the ones I wasn't paying attention to, I made sure to keep doing similar problems in the book OR found practice problems online. For the ones that I had truly no idea, I spend time reading on the concept before I tried practice problems.
3. Once I had spent a good amount of time studying, I did another practice test and looked at the difference between my 2 scores.
I did this a few times over a few months and this helped me improve my score! Hope this helps.
Note: I don't remember how I practiced for my writing test. But if you have to take the writing test, consider focusing on writing an essay in the alloted time.
