Hello Angie,
Filmmaking is a very great activity and field in this 21st century. Making film is more about passion and cinema lover. Thence, you mentioned that you are already passionate about it; that is so fantastic. Now, while film remains your passion, go deep in it.
Do not care about what people say, their passion is not yours, your passion is not theirs. That’s why you must follow your goal, preceed your studies, then specialize yourself in Filmmaking and then keep dreaming big, working hard and trusting in yourself.
Absolutely, Filmmaking can make you shine financially and internationally, you have just to study hard, read books, watch more movies and follow your passion.
Angie, have a great film career and God lead you

A film degree can open doors, but financial stability depends more on what you do with it than the degree itself. The film industry is competitive, and early on, jobs might not pay a lot. To build stability, it’s smart to start gaining experience while in school—through internships, freelancing, editing, or even content creation. Networking and building a strong portfolio matter a lot in film. If you’re passionate and willing to hustle, you can build a stable career over time—but it usually doesn’t happen right away.
