I found success with a Physics course early in my undergrad years, and it really struck a chord with me. I connected well with the professor, and after some discussion, I joined him in the lab and later became a "supplemental instruction leader" for Physics classes. This role is similar to a tutor, funded by the university. The great thing about these school-related jobs is their flexibility with schedules, especially during finals and holidays. You'd be amazed at how many roles are needed to keep a campus running. Even jobs that seem simple, like monitoring a computer lab or helping at the IT desk or library, can lead to more exciting opportunities in the future.

Elias’s Answer

If you're looking for a job while in college, aim for part-time work, around 15-20 hours a week. Depending on your volleyball practice, you might need to find something between 10-15 hours, ideally on weekends.
- Consider jobs like server, busboy, or shop clerk, as they often offer flexible hours that respect your school and training schedule.

If you're studying something like business, look for flexible internships starting in your sophomore year. These can be during the school year or over the summer and are important for getting a full-time job later.

It's tough to land a full-time position without relevant internship experience.

I played water polo in college, but since I wasn't at an Olympic level, I decided to focus on my career and just play water polo casually with friends.

I hope you enjoy your college years and volleyball!!
