I’m not sure what I want to be when I grow, what job should I get and why?
I’m in 7th grade, and there’s a wide field of jobs where I’m from. What I’m most interesting in doing is real estate, but I’m not sure if my schedule will be the open, for vacations, spending time to myself ext.

Hi Sebastian, nice to meet you! First off, it's awesome that you're already thinking about your future career - when I was in 7th grade, my ideas were all over the place! :)
Here's the thing though - you don't need to decide right now. Most adults change careers multiple times (I've done it twice already - started in finance, moved to consulting, then to software). So don't stress about picking the "perfect" job.
Instead, focus on exploring what you actually enjoy. Ask yourself these questions:
1. What subjects do you genuinely like? (Not just what you're good at, but what you find interesting)
2. What problems in the world bug you or make you curious? (I'm curious - what made you think about real estate specifically?)
3. Do you prefer working with people, solving problems, making things, or something else?
Try new stuff! Join clubs, try coding, art, writing, sports - whatever sounds interesting. Pay attention to what makes you lose track of time because you're enjoying it so much. You could even keep a little journal of things you discover you like.
About the real estate schedule thing - here's some good news: when you find a career doing something you actually enjoy, there are usually ways to build in the flexibility you want. Real estate agents often do have flexible schedules, but there are tons of other careers that offer that too.
The key is figuring out what you love first, then finding ways to make the lifestyle work.

2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subject in colleges

Hi, Sebastian! Fortunately, you have lots of time to narrow your focus. For now, my suggestion is to focus on your schoolwork and think about which subjects and courses you most enjoy. English? Social Studies? Math? Science? Foreign language? It's quite possible that those things will change through your high school and college years. Absorb as much information as possible, and don't feel pressured to choose a specific career right now.
