I would check the College Foundation of the college or university, that you wish to attend.

College Foundations connect many of their scholarships to specific subjects, activities, majors, ethnicities and classifications.

You might find scholarships for students who are first generation college students (neither parent has a college degree), students who are focusing their major on teaching, engineering or radiology, or students who might be hispanic in ethnicity.

Most of the time potential applicants can find nearly anything that fits into a classification or subject that defines them or their future goals.

All colleges and universities have foundations that offer scholarships. I would log into their website and research the ones which apply to you and your particular interests.

Hello, Jayden !

I would be happy to provide some information about college scholarships for you for studying for your Bachelors Degree in a life or animal science at a college in South Carolina. There are a wide range of scholarships and grants out there and not only ones for South Carolina students, but ones that you may be qualified for in other/additional categories, so you have your work to do with this. It's all worth every minute because they can be a great financial assistance for your college expenses before you go to Veterinary School as you've mentioned in your previous post.

We can begin with the ones specific for South Carolina students going to a South Carolina college. You can look up these scholarships by typing the name in a search online. First, there's the The Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. There's also The LIFE Scholarship, The South Carolina HOPE Scholarship, the Meeting Street Scholarship Fund, Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina which offers several scholarships, The Watson-Brown Foundation, The Simon Youth Foundation. In addition to these, colleges offer scholarships to their students, so when you know what college you'll be attending, you can explore what scholarships they offer.

There are also scholarships for specific majors and since you'll probably be majoring in a science, you can seek science oriented scholarships. Some of these that you can look up on line are The Wayne Anthony Butts Scholarship, The Girl Up STEM Scholarship, The Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program, The Good Samaritan Foundation Scholarship, The Fulbright Program, The WSGC Undergraduate Scholarship, The Stantec Future Leaders Scholarship, The Winston Churchill Foundation of the USA Scholarship Program, The Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholarship, The Junior Science and Humanities Symposium scholarship, and The Scarlett Family Foundation Scholarship among many more.

For students who are going to be future Veterinarians while working on a Bachelors Degree in science, there's scholarship opportunities from The American Veterinary Medical Foundation, The Durvet Animal Health Future Food Animal Veterinarian Scholarship, The Auxiliary to the AVMA Legacy Endowed Scholarship, and many others once you are in Veterinary School. Just look up these online for detailed information. Keep a list of the scholarships, when they begin for your admission semester, the deadline for submitting the application and qualifying criteria.

There are also many, many more scholarships you could qualify for based on random criteria. I have left a list below of some of the popular scholarship websites that are worth looking into. Schedule some time during each week to do the research and keep notes about the scholarships you qualify for so that you'll know exactly which ones and when to apply.

If you have any other questions about scholarships, do return here as we are happy to help ! Best wishes in all you do !
