How can I make my UC PIQ's and my activities list appealing to admissions officers?

Hello, I am a current senior and I aspire to be a pediatric nurse. I've done a number of volunteering such as being a Nurse's Assistant at my Vietnamese Youth Group, playing piano for my church, volunteering throughout my community, and much more. Throughout my high school years, I've also taken on many leadership roles such as National Honors Society Commissioner of Community Service; President, Activities Director, and Treasurer of Key Club; Secretary of UNICEF Club; and other positions in my Youth Group. I've also been a varsity athlete for 4 years. Even with my list of extracurriculars, I want to be able to make my list of awards and activities stand out to admissions officers and I'd like to share more through my PIQ's.

Thank you so much for your assistance! It is beyond appreciated.

Ava Mariya’s Answer

Your extracurriculars are great. Explain all in detail on the application; the UC admissions love context; the more the better. Make sure to answer the questions directly. The PIQ is an answer to an interview question. Also, when you write, strive for show, not tell. The best way to tell a story is to give examples.
You can follow my FB page, VoicED, or read my blogs on my website. I provide answers to all questions in a video format to ensure they are comprehensive. My YT also has details on writing. I can be found under Ava-Mariya Gencheva or VoicED. If you get a chance, attend my free workshops. Good luck.
