How do you go about finding a job in ecological field research after college?
I want to do wildlife research regarding ecology, but I'm worried there will be no organizations in the NY/RI area that conduct such research.

There are many resources and jobs sites that can help you find a job in that area:
https://www.conservationjobboard.com/new-york
https://statejobs.ny.gov/public/vacancyTable.cfm?searchResults=Yes&Keywords=fisheries&title=&JurisClassID=&AgID=&minDate=&maxDate=&employmentType=&grade=&SalMin=
https://www.indeed.com/q-wildlife-l-new-york,-ny-jobs.html
https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/wildlife-jobs-new-york
Also, your college's careers office should have resources. Often your professors will have connections and can help as well.
