What's one emerging trend or technology in veterinary medicine that you wish had been part of your training and how should pre-veterinary students like me prepare for it now while still an undergraduate?

Have you had any hand on training or volunteering yet? If not, id highly recommend it. Sometimes doing the job can make you realize you love it and want to do it always, or not at all. I farmed organically for years and our type of medicine was called pseudomedicine...now its recognized. Also a simple one is the enormous the huge power of vitamins and herbal cures!
