Hi Nataleigh. My advice is: get experience early. You can look for internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work in your field. Even small experiences teach you skills and help you understand what working in your industry is like. These experiences also make your resume stronger and show employers you are serious about your career.

Networking is also very important. You should attend career fairs, workshops, and talks about your field. Building relationships now can help you learn about job opportunities later. People you meet might even give you references or recommend you for jobs.

Soft skills matter too. Employers want people who can communicate well, work in teams, solve problems, and lead others. You can join clubs, student groups, or sports teams where you can practice these skills. Even organizing events or leading a project counts.

You should also create a professional online profile, like on LinkedIn, and share your achievements, projects, and experiences. This helps potential employers find you and see that you are serious about your career.

Learning how to market yourself effectively through a resume, cover letter, and interview skills is important. You may consider attending career development workshops or seeking guidance from your college's career center.

Furthermore, you need to keep a positive and flexible attitude. Career paths are not always straight, and learning new skills is important. Explore different roles in your field to see what interests you the most. All the best to you!

Hi Nataleigh!
When it comes to being successful, you have to first define what success means to you. Does it mean you're making a lot of money? Do you want to make a difference? Success looks different for everyone so it is important that you define it for yourself.

Once you define what success means to you, you can start taking steps towards that goal. Some general things you can do is getting involved. This can include getting involved in school clubs, volunteer opportunities and events. Internships in your chosen field are a great way to gain hands on experience and look really good on resumes. Overall, gaining experiences while in college can help you gain skills that can aid you in your post grad life!
