My advice is to pick no more than 3 and “go all in” on them. Start meeting with their admission teams, so what the general averages are as far as test scores & grades for admission.

It’s important to narrow in on the type of schooling experience you want to have. Where do you want to live? Do you have an idea of what you want to study, if so what schools provide the best programs in those fields of study. Do you want to live near family or go off on a brand new adventure?

For example, the Univerisity of Oxford is amazing. It would be outside the country so evaluate if that’s something you want to do.

I only applied to one school and it was the school I wanted to get into so badly. I got the needed scores, grades, and showed well enough they admitted me.

Hi Mina. Wow. That is a long list and quite geographically dispersed. To make a decision against such a large selection set is going to take a process of narrowing down. To do that you can start with two primary factors: geography and field of study, as I assume these will be the most important and impactful at first. You can use a document or a spreadsheet and begin listing out pros and cons of each geography: distance from home and family, ease, cost, and frequency of transportation, weather and climate, safety and culture, etc. There will be things you like and don't like about each. How well each school aligns to your likes and dislikes will help you take some immediately out of the running, some will emerge as "maybe", and then you'll have a subset of "yes" schools, and even in that category you can rank them as high, medium, and low. You can apply the same methodology to fields of study based on your academic goals. Some schools will excel in your field, some will offer perfectly fine though not top credentials, and others will have your field of study in a tertiary capacity or not at all. Again, some will immediately drop off the list and others will need more analysis and contemplation. And of course you cannot ignore cost, depending on your financial situation. How you will pay for your education and how much debt you might carry are important to many students. Lastly, the social and extra-curricular environment and opportunities can also play into your decision making, though perhaps best not to make these primary factors. If you analyze each of the schools across these lenses (geography, academics, costs, environment) you are very likely to narrow your list down to 3 to 5 top candidates. Good luck in your efforts.
