To make your résumé stand out for an aerospace engineering job, focus on showcasing your technical skills, practical experience, and strong academic background. Highlight skills like CAD software, programming, electronics, and advanced math and physics. Briefly describe any projects, such as rockets or drones, that you've worked on. Mention advanced courses to show you're ready for the challenges of engineering, and include activities like robotics, rocketry, or engineering competitions to demonstrate teamwork and problem-solving skills. Consider adding personal engineering projects or achievements that show your curiosity and initiative. Your résumé should clearly reflect your knowledge, skills, and experience, proving you are a well-rounded and capable candidate for an aerospace role.

Include extracurriculars like internships or volunteer work, and keep your résumé neat, clear, and to one page. If you can, create a simple online portfolio with project details and include the link in your résumé. Start networking early on LinkedIn with professionals, local colleges, organizations, and engineering groups to gain valuable experience before starting your career.
