Meanwhile, start reading tons of plays and studying tons of films and TV shows.

There are many ways to gain experience as an Actor. Volunteer at a local community theater. It will allow you a safe space to build your skills and network. Sign up as a background actor or "extra" if there is a casting company near you. It will help you see the many aspects of the field.
