Hello, Elyssa !
I would be happy to let you know a little about the Acting profession and you may be surprised about some things. Acting is an unconventional, no guarantees, flexible, versatile career that requires travel and talent. You didn't say how old you are but I will assume that you are in junior high or high school.
Ms. Brown would be very flattered to know that she had the reach to inspire you ! She had a very unusual start to her career which she didn't expect. She had taken an Acting Workshop when she and her family lived in Florida and she was discovered by a Hollywood talent scout. She had no intention of becoming an actress but had natural ability for the skill. The scout convinced her family to move to Los Angeles and she obtained consistent work in television. Sometimes, but very rare, a career can start like this but it is not advisable to depend on getting "discovered".
It's great to be inspired, but you will need to view yourself as a unique actress and not with the aim of emulating someone else. That is not what Acting is about. Because Acting is very chancy, uncertain and somewhat risky and unpredictable to depend on, like many other careers, you would have to be 100% certain to start training and dedicate most of your time to learning and obtaining experience. It's not about liking someone so much that you want to be them.
That being said, you also do not choose what projects you will work on, whether it's something like "Stranger Things" or anything else. You will need to be interested in doing a very wide range of characters and stories, not just one genre because you like it. Producers pay a lot of money to actors so they need actors that have recognizable skill and take direction easily.
If you are serious about a full time, long term career as an Actress, the best training would be while you are in high school and then enroll as a Theatre Major in college. That path will teach you how to start a career. At that time, you can decide if you want to move to Los Angeles after graduation. You also have to have the right circumstances in order to make that move.
I really don't know how to advise you, to be honest, because your question seems more like a fantasy than a serious career intention. You can learn about acting and the entertainment industry by reading books from the Library or Online. You can also break the ice about the skill by taking online acting courses to start with to see if it is indeed something you can and really want to do. It's very demanding and your parent would have to oversee and accompany you on auditions, rehearsals and performances if you are under 18.
You can start by looking for Acting Workshops for your age group where you live and see how things go. Most important to remember is to always be yourself and not compare yourself to anyone else. You'll want to bring an element of uniqueness to your acting if you pursue it seriously. Learning about this career will help you establish a realistic view of what it's really all about.
I hope this helps and I wish you all the best in whichever career you choose !

You can always try acting as an elective in your school like theater class, if your school doesn’t have one, you can always sign up for after school acting class outside of school as a hobbies or start an acting club at your school as well too.
You can always watch YouTube or research on things that prepare you for your acting career, that could be very fun thing to do while exploring which areas you want to work with into acting, or things to improved on your technique and skills and etc.
And you can also enter competition or even scholarships for higher education as well too, I will mention that once you build up your experience with acting, things will be run smoothly into an acting career.
And the best thing is that all other actors did those same steps from getting where they are now, it takes practice and it is okay to fail, but it is never okay to give up your dream, because it takes time and patience to make things right.
