Dr. Kelly’s Answer

Subscribing to LinkedIn Premium generally helps users tailor their targeted job to the algorithm needed.

Look at various job postings for which one would be your ideal company and position. Watch what keywords and skills they use and add them to your profile if you have the knowledge. Some may say O365, Google platforms, or others that are specific to certain companies.

obinna’s Answer

1. Headline (most important)

Don’t just write “Virtual Assistant”.
Write:

Virtual Assistant | Helping Busy Founders Stay Organized & Save Time

Or:

Virtual Assistant | Admin, Email & Research Support for Small Businesses

2. Profile photo

Clear, bright, professional

Neutral background

Friendly expression (approachable > stiff)

3. About section (3 short parts)

Who you help

What you do well

Why it matters

Example:

I help entrepreneurs and small teams stay focused by handling admin, email management, scheduling, and research. I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and focused on making clients’ lives easier.

4. Experience

Even if you’re new:

Freelance / Personal projects

School, volunteer, or online work

Focus on tasks and outcomes, not titles

5. Skills

Add:

Email & calendar management

Data entry

Research

Microsoft Office / Google Workspace

Communication

6. First post

Introduce yourself:

What you do

Who you want to help

What services you offer

Key rule:
Clarity beats creativity. Simple, specific profiles get more clients.
