If you're studying to be an X-ray tech, choosing a minor that boosts your healthcare skills or opens up future opportunities is a smart move. Since you're interested in NICU nursing, you probably like caring for patients and working with babies or families. Picking a minor that supports this area makes sense. Psychology is a great choice because it helps you understand how to comfort and communicate with patients who might be nervous or scared, which is super important, especially with kids.

Other good minors include health sciences, child development, or public health. These can give you a broader view of healthcare and make you more competitive if you want to specialize, move into pediatrics, or pursue nursing later. Child development is especially helpful if you plan to work with newborns or children.

If you want more flexibility for the future, consider healthcare administration or communications. These can be useful if you aim for leadership roles, teaching, or management in a hospital. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, so think about whether you want your minor to focus more on patient care or on expanding your career options.
