Getting into athletic training can be a very rewarding career if you enjoy sports, fitness, and helping people recover from injuries. start learning about sports science and injury prevention, gain hands-on experience with teams or gyms, and be prepared for a physically active career that involves helping athletes stay healthy and perform their best.

Athletic training is a great career if you want to be around sports (high school, college, or pro). There are also military, fire fighter/police, industrial, and performing arts careers in athletic training too!
In certain settings (sports), the hours can be long but I very much enjoyed my time working with high school athletes and coaches. Other settings have more structured hours. So it depends on what you are getting into athletic training for as to what your hours will look like.
Your main role is injury prevention and rehabilitation, and also emergency response and care. So be ready to be outside (sports, military, and some industrial) and watching whatever training is going on.
If you are wanting to get into athletic training you will need a masters degree in athletic training so look into programs and see what the prerequisites are and pick an undergrad major than aligns with those (exercise science or kinesiology are the main two). You’ll have to be familiar with anatomy and biology and physiology.
Also I would recommend volunteering with an athletic trainer so you can get first hand experience and see if it’s a good fit for you.
