Hi Katy! I'm not in the nursing field myself, but I can share some general advice that applies to picking any program. When I was choosing schools, I looked for programs that offered strong hands-on experience, solid industry connections, and flexibility to explore different specializations. While searching online, for nursing specifically, you'll want to look at programs that have high NCLEX pass rates, strong clinical placement partnerships with hospitals and healthcare systems, and options to specialize down the road whether that's in pediatrics, emergency care, nurse practitioner tracks, or other areas. I think some well-known programs that consistently rank high include those at large research universities and dedicated health science schools, but honestly, the "best" program is the one that fits your goals, budget, and learning style. Also, community college or accelerated BSN programs if you already have some college credits, they can be a great and more affordable pathway into the field. I'd recommend visiting campuses, talking to current students and alumni, and checking out each program's clinical rotation opportunities. You've got this!
