Hi Ashlyn! The advice that I can provide you is to actively pursue the opportunity to connect. Some ways to do this that are highly effective are 1) attending career fairs early and often 2) speak with your professors around companies in which they have connections (are there shadow days or networking events that they can recommend). These things are highly instrumental in effective networking. Outside of this, once the connections are created, follow up by connecting with the individuals via linked in. Most companies are very open about sharing job opportunities, internships and co-ops on their linked in pages. Good luck to you!

Begin early by creating a strong LinkedIn profile and connecting with people in your area of interest.
Attend career fairs, workshops, and networking events. Chat with recruiters and ask straightforward questions.
Seek internships to gain practical experience.
Participate in student clubs focused on business.
Reach out to professionals with brief, polite messages seeking advice, not jobs.
Follow your favorite companies to keep up with their updates.
Be friendly, confident, and consistent—building relationships takes time.

Start by choosing a career path you're interested in, like Marketing, Product Management, Sales, or Consulting. Remember, your 20s are a great time to explore different options and find what fits you best.
Once you've picked an area, connect with people on LinkedIn or at business events. Professionals often attend events to network, so they're usually more willing to chat in person than online.
To make these interactions meaningful, do some preparation:
- Learn about your chosen fields so you have interesting topics to discuss.
- Share what you learn on platforms like LinkedIn, Medium, or Substack. This helps build your personal brand and attracts connections.
- Try different internships. They can help you discover which career suits you best and strengthen your resume for future job opportunities.
Good luck!
