How do you balance sports with classes?
I will be playing softball, but the thought of missing classes for games is worrying me. I don't want to fall behind. #Spring26

Hi Daisy! I totally understand your concern. When I was a college athlete, I found it helpful to arrange my classes around practice and games whenever possible. Our practices were usually in the afternoon, so I aimed to take morning classes. During travel for games, I used the time to read, study, or finish homework. It's also a good idea to make friends with classmates so you can borrow notes and ask questions about what you missed. Don't hesitate to visit your professors or teaching assistants during office hours if you need help. Also, ask your teammates for tips on balancing sports and school. I'm sure they'll have lots of great advice. Good luck!

Hi daisy, I think the best thing to do is to communicate with your teachers and coach from the beginning and tell them that and if you think that a game might overlap with classes you can communicate with your teachers and they may give you the work for that day in advance it also shows them your willingness learn and balance both. If you're in a school team they will account for games and you will either be able to do the work the before a game or make it up after as long as you communicate with your teachers. The biggest thing would be communication and discipline to go to practice, games, and keep up with school. For keeping up with school there are psychology techniques like reward systems that you can try to help keep yourself motivated and doing homework, you could even try looking up studying techniques to help.
