How can I from a small town with only 450 kids at my local high school go to a university with thousands of people? #Spring26

Go as quick as you can! Just do it.
Small towns may make a person feel as if their interests and passions lack commonality with others. They can distort how accepted you are within the greater population. It also may restrict you from exploring what is available to you to discover new interests and passions.
If the apprehension is the sheer size of the population, seek out groups that have similar thoughts or passions as yours via student organizations. Finding that type of org will shrink the university size and allow you to focus on a smaller group with similar interests.
If the apprehension of a larger population makes you uncomfortable, going to a larger university first may not be the best path. Consider a 2-year school that tends to have a smaller enrollment.

Hi Jesus,
I know how you feel. My high school class had just 120 students, and then I went to a big university like USC. My first class had 300 students! It's important to find your group early on. Having a support system at a private school can really help you, not just while you're there but even after you graduate. I still keep in touch with my circle, and they help me with career opportunities too.
