How can I use what I learn as a Biomedical Engineering major to become a successful medical school applicant?
I want to learn about what it is like to apply to medical school as a Biomedical Engineering major. Am I still setting myself up to be a successful applicant with this as my undergraduate major?

Hi Avery,
You have the freedom to choose any major you like, as long as you complete the prerequisites for medical school. This major covers some of them, but you'll need to make sure you take courses like general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, and physics, along with any other required classes. Gaining clinical experience is also important. Even with a solid technical background, medical schools want to see that you understand patient care. Consider volunteering at hospitals, shadowing doctors, or working in a clinic to gain valuable experience. You've got this!
