This is a good question but also has other factors to consider: a certain amount of money say $75,000 in a more suburban/rural environment vs a large city are very different living situations and I would encourage you to consider those factors before accepting a role that only has the highest number. That being said - Florida specifically has a very high concentration of these types of jobs and depending on where you are that could be the answer or if your looking for region I would suggest Southeast or Northeast region of the US would have the best ratio of salary to expenses.

In the United States, graduates in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technology are generally paid the highest salaries in regions with large healthcare systems, advanced research hospitals, and high costs of living.
Some of the highest-paying regions include:
• California (especially Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego)
• New York
• Massachusetts (Boston area)
• Washington State
• New Jersey
• Texas (major medical centers like Houston)
• Florida can also offer strong opportunities, especially in Miami and larger hospital systems.
Hospitals connected to major universities, cancer centers, and research institutions often provide some of the best salaries and career growth opportunities because molecular imaging and nuclear medicine are highly specialized fields.
This career can also become very rewarding financially with experience, certifications, and specialization in PET/CT imaging, oncology imaging, or advanced molecular imaging technologies.
Beyond salary, I would also recommend looking at:
• Cost of living
• Quality of hospitals and training
• Internship opportunities
• Work-life balance
• Access to advanced technology and research
The field is growing because imaging technology plays such an important role in diagnosing and treating diseases, especially cancer and neurological conditions.
