Do I have to give up my hobbies and interests to guarantee my future #Spring26?
I'm in 12th grade. I am graduating a year early, but taking a gap semester. I really enjoy drawing and playing games with my friends.

Hey Skylar! I would say, no, not at all. Keep your hobbies and interests! It's important to have creative and fun outlets. Also, these outlets might help you figure out what you might want to do career-wise. For example, my sister was a pediatric cardiac ICU nurse and also loved digital art on the side. She started drawing complex heart complications, and it's now her job! You never know what your hobbies and interests could lead to. You could make new friends and thus expand your network. You could think it's a hobby but it ends up becoming a career path!
I think the main thing is being balanced. Making sure you're getting your work done, first and foremost. There could be periods in your life/year when you have to dig deeper into schoolwork, and other times you can pull back from that and enjoy your hobbies more.
Hope this helps! You got this!
