How hard was it to become an Anesthesiologist?
I am 15, and planning on graduating high school a year early. I am in 10th grade right now, and planning on doing summer school and another semester in order to graduate a year early. My goal in life is to become an anesthesiologist, and I have some questions for people who have reached that goal. What helped you get to that point? How long did it take? What was your major, and minor/s? What tips do you have for me to help me get to that point. What was your weighted GPA for high school? Is it more difficult than you thought it would be, or is it easier than you thought, and if you could, would you pick a different career choice? That's it! Thanks:)

Anaesthesiologist is a demanding and well paying job.
Basically you need to have completed your senior high school with good grades in science subjects and thereafter proceed for a bachelor degree in science then proceed for medical degree specifically MD which takes about 5-6 years then comes a 1 year internship, then you become a resident with interest in anaesthesia. Then you can proceed for a masters in anaesthesiology which can take 2-3 years to complete which requires alot of commitment both clinical and theoretical assessments and exams which upon completion you can be registered by the anaesthesiologist board so as to enable you practice...it's really a comiting venture indeed but rewarding
