Plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters install and repair pipes that carry liquids or gases to, from, and within businesses, homes, and factories. Plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters typically do the following:

*Determine the material and equipment needed for a job

*Install pipes and fixtures
