how can I find medical internships in the bay area where it is eligible for my age that is 15 and younger?

Thank you comment icon Good for you, exploring a medical career at 15. You might start by asking your own medical provider for an informal internship. Ask if you can shadow him/her for a day. This person might have colleagues that would be willing to work with you. Lynda Bell

Hi Arlyne! Great to see your interest in the medical profession. At the end of the day, all we really have is our health and well being, so you're thinking about a career that matters to everyone.

I'm not sure you will find a true internship for 15 and under, that's usually something focused on university students a year or two from graduation.

What you will likely find, however, for 15 and under are a host of volunteer opportunities and what is sometimes referred to as a Candy Striper. I've just done a quick search and see there are 2 hospitals in Redwood City that have some information on volunteering.

Brian recommends the following next steps:

Check out the volunteering information for Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City: https://hospitalvolunteer.net/hospital/sequoia_hospital_redwood_city_ca
Check out the volunteering information for Kaiser Permanente's Redwood City Medical Center: https://hospitalvolunteer.net/hospital/kaiser_foundation_hospital_redwood_city_redwood_city_ca
