Good question. Help us by understanding what you mean by a "good union."
There are many possibilities, like:
-Membership is growing (or at least not shrinking)
-Members praise the union
-Members have good benefits
-Members have good career opportunities
-Members work well with industry leaders
Unions have been tremendously important in the global economy, and will continue to be in the future.
You don't have to be a union member, so it's important to know what you want from being a union member.
Some industries have great relationships with unions, other industries have strained relationships. That may also be a factor in your career decision.
