It's great that you're eager to improve in softball and volleyball. Seventh grade is a perfect time to start building good habits. You don't need to train like a college athlete to see progress. Focus on being consistent, putting in effort, and mastering the basics.
Here's how to make real progress:
1. Practice the basics often—throwing, catching, hitting, serving, passing, and footwork. A little practice each week makes a big difference.
2. Play whenever you can—join school teams, rec leagues, open gyms, or play in your backyard. The more you play, the better you get.
3. Work on strength and movement—do simple exercises like running, jumping, and balancing. This helps in both sports.
4. Be coachable—listen to advice, ask questions, and try new things. Being open to learning is a big advantage.
5. Find a mentor—look for an older player, coach, or trainer who can guide you, teach you drills, and keep you motivated. Mentors have valuable experience to share.
Remember, you don't need to be perfect right now. Seventh grade is about building your foundation, learning skills, getting stronger, and discovering what you enjoy. Stay consistent, keep practicing, and surround yourself with good coaches and mentors. By high school, you'll be in a great position. The key is steady effort.

A basic work week is 40 hours a week. Most jobs have opportunities where you can make overtime (OT) which is normally calculated at time + 1/2 for anything over 40 hrs. That means if you make $10/hr, your OT will be $15 (10+5)/hr. There are also some jobs that have irregular hours. Most people have what is considered to be bankers hours: 9am-5pm. There are jobs that do not have those hours such as military, law enforcement, medical, etc.
