Rachel’s Answer

One of the reasons which propelled me into dentistry is the ability to have my own business and never be without a job. I saw for many years my father struggle financially after being laid off from his job.

Dentistry is wonderful - just be sure you enjoy the field and are committed to it. You’ll never be unemployed. You’ll always be needed as people will always seek a caring and compassionate dental provider. There’s always an answer in dentistry- so also a lifetime of learning and opportunity.

Jennifer A.’s Answer

Definitely a field that won't end! People will always need their teeth cleaned and they'll always have problems they need resolved! I especially recommend becoming a dental hygienist because the college requirements are much less, you'll have great hours with usually working only Mon-Thurs and you'll start around $34/hour. Good luck to you!
