Also what are some good ways to get books that are useful but not exstreamly exspensive?

I know that text books are important but i know that i am not going to need them for the rest of my life? So i just want to know if there is a way to get books that are still use able but not too pricey #college

All school's offer buyback services for textbooks. You definitely don't have to keep them.

There is also a site called Chegg.com that allows you to 'rent' books or purchase them at a highly discounted price.

Thank you comment icon Hi Britny! There are many ways to keep college text book costs low, but my favorite is definitely amazon.com. And if your University offers an Amazon store, you can get your textbooks directly shipped to and from your school. Hope this information helps! Blake

Check sites like eBay, Amazon, and Half.com for textbooks, but make sure you're buying the latest or second-latest edition. Publishers often release updates to stay ahead of the used book market. These updates can vary from major changes to minor tweaks. Professors usually want students to have the newest edition, so check online forums to see if the differences are significant. Remember, an older edition might not match the syllabus exactly.

Buying used books can save you a lot—sometimes half the cost of a new one. It's definitely worth considering.

Finally – don’t calculate any buyback program the bookseller offers when making your decision. You’re looking at $5-10 on a $100+ book, so it’s not enough to be a deciding factor.
