How can the ACT/SAT determine a persons success or ability to do well in college if it doesn't apply to there actually career ?

I am asking because it doesn't seem fair because it does fit each persons needs. It only seem to have a standard that not fair because everyone learns and is taught differently. #act

Hello,

The SAT measures verbal, written, and mathematical reasoning. The ACT also includes a science section as well as the written, verbal and math section. The New SAT better measures what you have learned throughout your education, instead of what you have the potential to figure out. While SAT and ACT scores might not be exactly related to what you're going to college for or the field you are going to work in, in any job or college you will need to be able to reason verbally, mathematically and with the written word. Luckily, colleges don't just look at your ACT and SAT scores-there are many other factors that go into the admissions process such as your extracurricular activities, GPA, sports, volunteer work, and college essay.
