Would it be better to major in molecular biology or psychology?

I would like to go into neuroscience research, both majors offer a concentration in cognitive neuroscience, which would be a better path? #science #research #majors #neuroscience

Roger’s Answer

Dear Maddison,
Molecular biology would probably be the better training for you if you are interested in a research career in neuroscience. Also, another path that is up and coming is computational neuroscience and Big Data Science, where you use math to model biological activity in the case of computational neuroscience; or bring complex analytical approaches to bear on large neuroscience data sets for big data science. I hope this helps. Roger
