The length of a workday greatly varies depending on your career and role. Some professions (like some doctors) have very long 16+ hour shifts several days a week and then days off in between. Other professions have longer days during busier times of the year (like accountants during busy season when financial statements or tax returns are due). The average workday is 8 hours (usually about 9-5), but in reality it just really depends on your job and your responsibilities.

An average workday is usually around 8 hours. Depending on if you have flexible or fixed working hours, this can seem to be different, but most importantly, you should try to limit the hours you spend working or studying, and make sure you have other activities in your day. Having this work-life balance will help you be more productive in the long run and avoid burn-out. Also, it's fine if you're not always feeling like working 8 hours, or some days you feel more productive.

My average work day is from 8AM to 5PM, Monday - Friday. Some days I work more, others I work less just depends on what we have going on.

An average workday is 8hrs-- 5 days/wk to be full time. However, I am in outside sales, so i can be called to jump in and assist customers and sales at any time. Really I'm 24/7, but I love it. Everyday is different and allows for flexibility.
