Najjiyya’s Answer
Anesthesiologists manage a patient’s safety, comfort, and vital functions before, during, and after surgery. Their day is a mix of direct patient care, monitoring, and collaboration with the surgical team. They typically start by reviewing charts, meeting patients, and choosing the right anesthesia plan. During procedures, they administer anesthesia, adjust medications, and continuously monitor breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. After surgery, they oversee recovery, manage pain, and make sure patients wake up safely. Outside the operating room, anesthesiologists also help with pain management, epidurals, sedation for procedures, and critical‑care support.
