How is it being a veterinarian?

I love animals and also would love working with them.I have had a love for animals my whole life.I have been wanting to be veterinarian ever since the 2nd grade and nothing has changed. #veterinarian

Hi Leelah! That’s awesome that you want to be a veterinarian. Have you ever shadowed a veterinarian? That would be one of the first things I’d recommend to find out if it’s the right career for you. There are many different types of veterinarians to choose from. Veterinary school is also 4 years post a bachelor’s degree, so just make sure you know how much education you’ll need. Veterinary school is very competitive so be sure to research schools too! Let me know if you have any specific questions I can answer, I have my bachelors in Animal Science and will be applying to veterinary school.
