After graduating from nursing school. You should expect to certainly take the boards exam (NCLEX-RN) and then find a job that you want to do. I would recommend working in the inpatient care so that you will be familiar with acute care and then later decide what speciality you want to get into. For example, work on the beds unit if you like kids, or general medical/surgical floor taking care of the adults. Then you can decide later if you want to specialize in Obstetric, Operating Room, Oncology, ICU/CCU, or PICU/NICU, etc. Good luck.

Once you have graduated you will be excited and probably overwhelmed all at once! Some new grads know the area they want to work in, some do not- either is ok! Not sure what the job market is like in your area but it may take a while to find a job- don’t get discouraged! Nursing is the best career and has something for everyone. Good luck.
